It is easy, should be even for inEPT (or unpercEPTive) intercEPTees, to see that ÆPT was written in a partly MAD-inspired manner.
I'd prefer if "MAD-inspired” is interpreted as a reference to my enduring appreciation of the delightfully allusive arms-race-shaming acronym for “Mutual(ly) Assured Destruction”.😼
The deepest backgrounds to ÆPT:
The deepest personal factors (or causes) behind my aim to reach for and write what became 'my ÆPT take on what is going on' include my curiosity-instinct combined with from early on in my life ended up under circumstantial threats of "SHI" type that automatically conditioned-in states of blocked and indefinitely postponed distress; These primarily insidious states (within my central neural Actention Selection Serving System) is something I have likewise contrived an acronymic concEPT for (pointer to), namely CURSES (same shortest possible spelling in singular as in plural).
A CURSES is a very important but largely ignored type of implicit memory in the ASSS; it is a state causally correlated with (or "conditioned-in" specifically by) circumstantial "SHI" threats.
More backgrounds, characteristics and features, of ÆPT:
It is not inEPT to describe ÆPT as a gaily gnosticism garrotting textualised grasp of what is going on; this partly because ÆPT contains a sardonically jocular manifestation of the acronym-building sem_antics (wordplay) that facilitated its forging.
The mirth-inviting aspect of ÆPT is only completely silly and unjustified (inept) in the case of only one of three concEPTs that I characterise, categorise, label and describe as examples of "septic humor".
The MAD-inspired concEPT in question (one of relatively minor ÆPT importance) is "RAT neurons". "RAT neurons" represents the with neuroscience aligned notion of neurons that are relatively slowly conducting, tonically (inertly) firing, and of "reticular activating type".
Of the remaining two sEPTic humored MAD-inspired concEPTs, the "actention selection serving system" (maximally truncated to AS and minimally to ASSS) is aptly allusive enough, though only about 50% aptly allusive. Given ample amounts of evidence of human stupidity and awful behaving its ~50% allusiveness seems about right to me.
The remaining one of the three sEPTic humored concEPTs, namely "threats of SHI-type", is 100% aptly allusive as an acronym. It is 100% because for any reason ended up under threats of this category totally deserve to be poignantly pointed to with a most 'distinKt' acronym. (Besides, the definition of "SHI type" perils or overly onerous ordeals is excEPTionally in-dEPTh and uniquely ÆPT.)
There also are a few (at least two) concEPTs that suit being thought of as having been conceived, or steeped, in a squeaky clean spirit of antisEPTic humored ÆPT jocularity.
The single most outstanding (and only decEPTively lame) example of this nicely humoristic aspect of ÆPT is the thoroughly defined ÆPT 'dogma' (or motto) "ALQholism is the best ism!".
The ÆPT acronym ALQ stands for Absolute Life Quality" and refers to the hard-nosed and subjectivity snubbing definition of "a maximum degree of ALQ-wholesomeness.
The implicit definition of this delightful 'dogma' (or ditto motto) is such that it 'on paper' is relevant politically. It is so as a policy-guiding principle and as a "measuring stick"; one that can be rather readily applied as a prod or rod to the back of politicians and important other policy-makers.
Moreover, the definition of the motto is such that it can also be used (in different ways) for assessing and comparing the ALQ-wholesomeness of individuals, septs, sects, nations, and cultures. Hence, another (by me wishfully envisioned) effect is that it would be used as 'a crusher of cultural relativism'.
It goes without saying that ideas and ideologies (secular or otherwise) may also be graded in light of the best [but also most sorely absent (not applied) in anthropic affairs] of all isms, namely "ALQholism".
In addition to the technologies already available for estimating ALQwholesomeness in people, advances in biotechnology are sure to improve the precision and reliabilty of future methods of assessing the degree of ALQwholesomeness (the number and location, at different neuroanatomical levels, of ALQ-holes) in ASSSs.
In other words: An in human affairs most sorely missing (policy guiding) measuring stick (one more precise and impossible to rationally dismiss) is provided as part of ÆPT.
This measuring stick lends itself (most likely only on ÆPTly written electronic paper) to assess and compare the degree of ALQwholesomeness of different cultures.
While it is highly unlikely it is conceivable that an in-dEPTh enough ALQholism, represented by 'ÆPTly dogmatic enough' ALQholists, might one day make policies and realpolitik with an overall ALQwholesomeness increasing impact.
[Besides, ÆPT-aligned politician (and ditto realpolitik) would accelerate the development of 4th gen low-pressure/non-water cooled fission power technologies.
4th generation nuclear dission rectors provide a safe and reliable source of electric energy taht can utilise the inefficiently 'burnt' waste products from water cooled conventional nuclear fission reactors; and they are a far more realistic, soon enough ready for deployment, than are nuclear fusion based electritity generation.
4th generation fission power will facilitate a relaxed and trouble free fazing out of our current and recent historical dependence of fossil fuels—no foolish CO2 fearing fanatisism involved (such as deluded engineers working on ways to capture and sequester atmospheric carbon).
4-th generation fission power (and in the meantime, until fission power is widely implemented, coal based power generation and oil based motor fuels) can provide ample, safe and cheap energy for recycling, detoxification (by extremely high temperature insineration of harmful chemicals now dangerously stored in depots), and for sustaining (or, in poor parts of the world, raising) people's material living standards.]
Anyhow, the silly-looking ÆPT dogma does seriously imply that the degree of ALQ (or more commonly the degree of lack of ALQwholesomeness) in different cultures (different demographies, democracies, dictatorships, populations, sub population, or sects) can be assessed and compared with unprecedented objectivity.
Likewise it is possible to apply the concEPT of ALQ to the task of approximately deciding if a legislative or social or economic policy, or a tradition, is more or less ALQholistic in character than are others. This kind of assessment is of course to be based on how likely each policy or tradition is to unnecessarily cause people to end up under threats of SHI type and therefore to automatically incur CURSES.
As already mentioned, the definition of ALQ (or ALQwholesomeness) centrally includes the concEPT of "ALQ-holes".
ALQ-holes is the ÆPT term for synaptic channels that would be available to relay excitatory message if not kept blocked by inhibitory ‘Specific Hibernation (SH) inducing’ neural functions.
ÆPT includes "the ÆPT heuristic" — one approximately and expediently represented by the ÆPTly neo-Darwinian notion of "ambiadvantageously adaptive" mutations/traits.
The ÆPT heuristic is simply a recognition of that our lineage did eventually (after a lengthy latency) evolve phenotypes with an ASSS (that in combination with other geno/phenotypic features or characteristics) were capable of using CURSES as co-motivating factors behind behaviors and preoccupations that exploits environmentally present factors of opportunity-type.
The eventual result of this sub-heuristic/sub-principle of Natural Selection became that we humans happen to be a uniquely EAVASIVE species of animals.
For this reason it is typically impossible (though not guaranteed impossible) for more or less EAVASIVE (≳neurotic) adults, or for mature and intelligent enough persons, to understand and accept how common it is that we early on end up under cope with and individually survive circumstantial threats of SH imploring (SHI) type, and that such perils or ordeals 'put' CURSES (condition-in unconscious reverberative states effecting symptoms) in our Actention Selection Serving Systems.
